Questions around inclusion and exclusion are increasingly central to discussions of global justice. For example\, what norms or moral principles ought to be used to determine political membership? What\, if anything\, do citizens of democracies owe to people who are forced to leave their home countries (refugees\, stateless people\, etc.)? Is exclusion a necessary feature of contemporary political life or can we imagine a different kind of community? What are the implications of globalization for norms of inclusion and exclusion? \;This workshop is will consider new research on these topics and will bring together ethicists\, philosophers\, and others working on theoretical issues related to global justice and the ethics of exclusion. \;
