Call for papers
The research laboratory “Norms, Societies and Philosophies” (NoSoPhi) organizes a graduate conference in contemporary political philosophy at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris, France) on December 13th 2013.
The conference aims at giving young scholars the opportunity to compare and assess the various methods and leading questions at the forefront of contemporary political philosophy by presenting a paper on their current research.
We welcome papers on any topic related to contemporary political philosophy, such as:
- Power, authority, legitimacy
- Domination and exploitation
- Equality and inequalities
- Theories of rights
- Democracy
- Theories of justice
- Cosmopolitanism
- Gender studies
- Environmental philosophy, animal ethics
Graduate students are invited to submit a paper (3000 to 5000 words, in French or in English), before September 20th, 2013, to: [email protected], [email protected].
A dinner will take place after the conference near the Sorbonne on December 13th. Accommodation and travelling expenses will not be covered.
