Freedom in Music – Contemporary challenges

 

After its inaugural meeting in Rome in June 2023, the European Network for the Philosophy of Music (ENPM) will celebrate its first conference next April 18–20, 2024, hosted by the Instituto de Filosofia da Universidade do Porto (Portugal). The event is devoted to exploring the topic of freedom in music in face of contemporary challenges in the following dimensions: creating music, performing music, consuming music, receiving music, defining music. The conference will consist of different panels devoted to specifically discuss these issues.
