The third Graduate Conference of the Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy, a student society for philosophical research in the analytic tradition at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Vienna, will be held 22 – 24 May 2014 on the topic of language and philosophical methodology.

Since the early days of the Vienna Circle, the issues around philosophical method, objectives and practice have not lost their urgency. With the rise of experimental philosophy, meta-philosophical considerations have received new impetus. Our conference aims to link these issues to contemporary problems concerning the philosophical analysis of language and to the linguistically informed debates in the philosophy of language, epistemology and other areas of philosophy.
