The Department of Philosophy at New York University will host a workshop on the 16 & 17 May 2014. The topic of the workshop is "Value and Virtue in Ethics and Epistemology." Confirmed participants include Thomas Hurka (University of Toronto), Julia Driver (Washington University in St. Louis), Daniel Star (Boston University), Jessica Moss (NYU), Kurt Sylvan (Rutgers/Southampton), Barry Maguire (NYU), Paulina Sliwa (Cambridge), and Michael Smith (Princeton).
Two presentation slots are available through this open call for papers. Please submit an 750 word abstract by 1 March 2014. Decisions will be communicated by 1 April 2014. Only submissions directly related to the topic will be considered. Submissions critically engaging with Thomas Hurka's work on the topic are strongly encouraged.
