Details

The College of William & Mary will hold its third annual undergraduate philosophy conference on March 29 & 30, 2014. This conference aims to give undergraduate students an opportunity to present their work to their peers and to interact with students from across the country.  Papers on any topic in philosophy are welcome. All participants must be undergraduate students. The author of the best paper will receive $200; the runner up will receive $100.

The keynote address will be given by William Lycan, William Rand Kenan, Jr. Professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Papers should be prepared for blind review (no author-identifying information) and be approximately 2,000-3,000 words.  The conference will use a symposium format.  Each session will include the presentation of a paper, commentary, and discussion.

Electronic submissions, including the paper and a brief abstract (Word documents), should be sent to Max Miroff at [email protected]. The submission deadline is March 1, 2014. Earlier submissions are encouraged. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by March 12, 2014.
