The Enhancement Project (FFI2012-32565) organizes an international workshop on contemporary debates in bioethics and, specifically, enhancement of human capabilities. The meeting will take place inGranada the 16th and 17th of June, 2014.

The first edition of this workshop was held in Granada on February 2010. Several researchers from different universities debated then with Prof. Julian Savulescu (Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, University ofOxford) on the ethical and political aspects of enhancement technologies in human beings. The invited speakers to this II International Workshop are Julian SavulescuGuy Kahane (Uehiro Centre for PracticalEthics, University of Oxford) and Andy Miah (Creative Futures Research Centre, University of the West of Scotland).

Those interested in presenting a paper should send an abstract of 500 words maximum, in either English or Spanish, before April 7, 2014. Organizers will notify applicants whether their abstracts have been accepted before April 28. A selection of contributed papers will be included in a volume on human enhancement to be published in 2015.
