American University Pharmakon Spring/Summer Edition Call for Submissions!

Pharmakon is American University's journal of philosophy, open to all undergraduate students of any field of study. The journal is meant to serve as a forum for discussion about philosophy and its application across disciplines.

Any currently enrolled undergraduate student attending an American university may submit. Submissions should be essay-length and -format, and should take a clear philosophical stance or present an argument relevant to philosophical thinking.

Submissions may integrate the perspectives of other disciplines, but should focus on the philosophical implications of such perspectives or engage with ideas within philosophical discourse.

Submissions will be accepted on the basis of clarity, strength of argument, organization of thought, and novelty and originality of philosophical ideas.

Please send submissions to [email protected] by May 16. Feel free to consult our website (http://www.american.edu/cas/philrel/pharmakon/) for more information about the journal and past publications.
