To celebrate the 150 years of the birth of  MIGUEL DE UNAMUNO, the Centro de Estudos Comparatistas (Center for Comparative Studies), within research in the project DIIA – Diálogos Ibéricos e Ibero-Americanos (Iberian and Ibero-American Dialogues) –, and the Centro de Filosofia da Universidade de Lisboa (Philosophy Center of the University of Lisbon), under the initiative of the Permanente Seminar on Kierkegaardian Studies, will host a day conference clustered around the theme Rethinking UNAMUNO, to be held next October, 27th, 2014.

 We are pleased to announce A CALL FOR PAPERS within the following lines:

 ·         Unamuno and Portuguese thought

·         Unamuno and Portuguese literature

·         The Iberian thought of Unamuno

·         Poetics and meta-litature  in Unamuno

·         The philosophical legacy of Unamuno

·         Unamuno and Kierkegaard

·         Contemporary new readings of Unamuno’s work

The working languages are Portuguese and Spanish. Papers should be timed for 20 minutes. The submission deadline for abstracts is June, 30th, 2014.

Please send an abstract (min. 200/max. 250 words) in Portuguese or in Spanish, with identification and affiliation of the author, and a brief CV (max. 100 words) to [email protected]. Acceptance of papers will be announced until July, 31th.
