In order to develop a better understanding of empathy and social

interaction this multidisciplinary school will discuss evidence

from both theoretical and empirical disciplines. We will address

the underlying psychological and neuronal mechanisms, their

disturbances — like in autism —, and the resulting implications

from a scientific and a philosophical perspective.

How to apply

This summer school is aimed at advanced undergraduate students

and graduate students working in neurobiology, neuroscience,

psychology, philosophy, and other relevant disciplines. Board

and lodging (in double rooms) will be provided. There are no

participation fees to be paid, although traveling costs and

beverages have to be covered by the participants.
