WIPUM (Women in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne), along with the MUPC (Melbourne University Philosophy Community) and the Philosophy Department, are very excited to be hosting the first 'Philosophy Café of 2014.

We will be meeting in the Jim Potter Room (Old Physics Building) from 5-6.30pm on Wednesday, 3rd of September.

Our speaker for the evening is Dr. Cordelia Fine, the author of 'Delusions of Gender: How our minds, society, and neurosexism create difference.' She will be giving a short presentation, followed by a group discussion on the issues of gender bias and neurosexism.

Everyone is warmly invited to attend; tea, coffee, and nibbles will be provided on the night! We hope to see you there!

About Dr. Cordelia Fine:
Cordelia studied Experimental Psychology at Oxford University, followed by an M.Phil in Criminology at Cambridge University. She was awarded a Ph.D in Psychology from University College London. Between 2002 to 2011 she held research positions at Monash University, the Australian National University, then Macquarie University. She is currently an ARC Future Fellow in Psychological Sciences and Associate Professor at the Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne.
