CALL FOR SYMPOSIA PROPOSALS. The Program committee invites proposals for symposia on any topic relevant to the scientific study of consciousness. Symposia/talks should be spread over topics in consciousness science, paying close attention to areas that may have been overlooked in previous years. ASSC has a strong preference for symposia proposals to focus on specific questions rather than a set of loosely related talks. Proposals that integrate multiple methodologies around common questions are particularly welcome. Symposia typically feature 4 speakers.  All symposium speakers will be provided with free conference registration. Each speaker will also receive a flat amount of €1000 to cover, at least partially, transportation and accommodation expenses (the money will be provided at the conference).

CALL FOR TUTORIAL PROPOSALS. One of the aims of this meeting is to allow researchers to gain a background in areas that they may know little about. Towards that end a number of tutorials are planned. Tutorial presenters are expected to present not only their own material, but to give a broader tutorial overview and to encourage discussion, debate, and audience participation. Tutorials will be held in parallel sessions on the morning of July 7th. Each tutorial is intended to last approximately three hours with a short break in the middle.  Tutorial presenters will receive an honorarium of €500 (one honorarium per tutorial, not per presenter).

All symposium and tutorial proposals should be sent to [email protected] by October 31st.
