CFP: The Origins of Thought: Early cognitive abilities

On May, 7-8, we will hold a two-day interdisciplinary workshop in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country (Spain) about nativism in cognition. Invited speakers are: 
Eric Margolis (Philosophy, UBC Vancouver), 
Luca Bonatti (Psychology, ICREA/ University Pompeu Fabra),
Claudia Uller (Psychology, Kingston University), and 
Emma Borg (Philosophy, University of Reading). 
 
Eric Margolis will present on concept nativism, Luca Bonatti on early logical reasoning, Claudia Uller on number cognition, and Emma Borg on mirror neurons and social cognition.

We have six slots available for 40+20 minute presentations. This is a call open to all philosophers and psychologists who work on the nature/nurture issue at large, but we especially welcome submissions related to the topics selected by the invited speakers. Deadline for submissions is February 15th. Response is expected by the first week of March. Please send a 1000 word-abstract plus a CV to: [email protected]
