Confluence: Online Journal of World Philosophies (Karl Alber Verlag, Freiburg/Munich, Germany) is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed, international journal dedicated to comparative thought (URL: www.confluence-journal.com).

For its third issue, the journal seeks submissions on all relevant aspects of comparative philosophy. The editors welcome innovative and persuasive ways of conceptualizing, articulating, and representing intercultural encounters. Contributions (articles, book-reviews, survey articles, critical notes) should help facilitate the development of new perspectives on current global thought-processes and sketch the outlines of salient future developments. Articles should not exceed a word-count of 6250 words.

Confluence adopts a double blind reviewing policy ensuring that the identities of both, author and referees are concealed during the reviewing process. When submitting an article, please ensure that your full name and address (including e-mail address), your institutional affiliation, five to ten keywords, and an abstract appear on a separate page. Your name should not appear on any page; references to your own work should not reveal your identity.

Confluence also documents initiatives in institutions of higher education aimed at facilitating teaching and/or research in comparative philosophy. Towards this end, we invite faculty to sketch briefly the nature of changes (in study-programs, syllabi, personnel, etc.) implemented since 2010 and their projected results. Submissions should contain details of the educational institution and not exceed 500 words.

Submissions and write-ups on institutional programs should be submitted by 31st. March 2015 under: confluence-submission[at]web[dot]de.

Editors: Monika Kirloskar-Steinbach (Konstanz, Germany), Geeta Ramana (Mumbai, India), and James Maffie (Maryland, USA)
