On Friday April 24, 2015 the Division of Global Affairs will host a multidisciplinary undergraduate conference. The conference will bring together undergraduate students from across disciplines in economics, environmental studies, business, international relations, religion, philosophy, and other fields, to present and engage in discussion on the intellectual and practical/policy challenges in global affairs.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

We invite submission of abstracts by undergraduate students in the fields of philosophy, law, economics, environmental studies, politics, and international relations.  Abstracts (200-300 words) should be suitable for blind review; include a separate document with name, paper title, and contact information and should address one of the six panel themes:

  1. Civil War and Intervention: How Does the World Respond When the Sovereign is in Crisis?
  2. Democracy and Development in a Globalized World
  3. Transitional Justice: Building the Future by Reconciling the Past
  4. The Financialization of the World’s Economy: As the Role of Financial Markets Increase, What are the Implications for State and Non-State Actors?
  5. Beyond 9/11: Reshaping Security in the Twenty First Century
  6. Globalization and Immigration: Building a framework of enforceable human/workers rights for economic migrants in the 21st Century

The deadline for abstracts is Friday February 13, 2015.
