Empirical Perspectives on Moral Objectivity

March 20, 2015, 9.30 – 17.30h

Utrecht University, The Netherlands

During a one-day symposium, the objectivity and universality of moral values will be examined from the angles of anthropology, psychology and ethics. The aim of the symposium is to foster empirical understanding of the universal aspects of morality, and to examine its philosophical significance. The invited speakers discuss these issues from their disciplinary expertise. Research members of the NWO-funded project 'Evolutionary Ethics' will provide commentaries.
