A graduate conference in all areas of Philosophy

We are pleased to announce our tenth annual graduate conference. Following on from the success of Open Minds I - IX, this conference is intended to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for postgraduate students and early career researchers to share and discuss their work.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr Maja Spener (University of Birmingham)
Call for papers:
REVISED Deadline: 30 April 2015
We welcome papers from all areas of philosophical research. We particularly encourage submissions from women and other under-represented groups in philosophy. Please submit papers of a length suitable for presentation in twenty minutes to [email protected] with subject line 'Submission', and in a form suitable for anonymous review. Please include a separate cover page giving the title of the paper and your contact details. Additionally, please provide an abstract of 200 to 500 words in length for our programme.
The deadline for receipt of submissions is *now* April 30th 2015. We aim to notify successful applicants by 15th May 2015.
All applicants to Open Minds will be invited to submit their paper for publication in a special edition of Praxis Journal of Postgraduate Philosophy based on the conference proceedings. Visit the Praxis website for more details. (http://praxisjp.org/)
Further information
It is our aim to provide free accommodation for invited speakers, however this will be subject to availability. If you wish to be considered for accommodation for the 3rd July, please specify when making your submission. Note that this will not affect the likelihood of your paper’s being accepted.
We will also be able to provide a limited amount of funding for childcare expenses. Please indicate in your application if this is something you will require. Again, this will not affect the likelihood of your paper’s being accepted.
