Conference aims and themes

This one-day event at the University of Leeds will feature keynote speakers, presentations, demonstrations, and workshops by students who teach and research philosophical enquiry in schools. We are also interested in related work from the philosophy of education, and empirical or theoretical work in education. The Conference provides an opportunity for both undergraduate and postgraduate students across the UK to present their academic work in the field of philosophy with children, and to demonstrate their practical skills in facilitation to their peers.

A Call for Papers will be issued to shortly.

Registration of attendance will open in April.

The programme of speakers will be released in April.

Accessibility

The conference aims to be as inclusive as possible within the limits of our budget and venue. We hope to be keep registrations costs to a minimum, and to be able to provide at least a partial subsidy on travel and subsistence costs for students travelling from outside Leeds. The conference rooms are fully wheelchair accessible via the main entrance, with an accessible toilet nearby, and there is a hearing assistance loop available.
