This is a two day event on the values of art. We will discuss issues such as the relationship between intrinsic and instrumental values of art, the nature of arts participation, and the state support of the arts in the UK. Our speakers come from a range of disciplinary backgrounds, and we will be seeking ways to collaboratively address the issues facing the arts today.
