The Amsterdam Colloquium will this year take place from the 16th to the 18th of December. The Colloquium will feature a general programme (invited speakers: Rick Nouwen, Graham Priest and Maribel Romero) and two workshops: one on negation (invited speakers: Laurence Horn and David Ripley) and one on reasoning in natural language (invited speakers: Mirella Lapata and Christopher Potts). An evening lecture, jointly organized with the Beth Foundation, will be delivered by Timothy Williamson. For more details, please see the conference website:

The Amsterdam Colloquia aim at bringing together linguists, philosophers, logicians, cognitive scientists and computer scientists who share an interest in the formal study of the semantics and pragmatics of natural and formal languages. This year there will be more of a focus on philosophical logic, and we especially welcome contributions in this area.
Submissions are welcome for both the programme and the two workshops. The submission deadline is 1st September. Selected contributions to the conference will be published in a special issue of the journal Topoi. The full call for papers, with instructions for submissions is available at the following address:
