Details

The workshop focuses on concepts and their applications using the theory of Conceptual Spaces (CS), as introduced by Peter Gärdenfors (2000). It provides a geometric model for the representation of human conceptual knowledge that bridges the symbolic and the sub-conceptual levels of representation. The model has already proven to have a broad range of applicability, not only within cognitive science but also across a number of disciplines related to concepts and representation. A sample of this work is collected in Zenker & Gärdenfors (2015), based on papers presented in Conceptual Spaces at Work 2012 at Lund University.
