A conference on clinical psychoanalysis and analytic philosophy. Keynote speakers: Edward Harcourt (Oxford); Jonathan Lear (University of Chicago); Juliet Mitchell (Cambridge and UCL).

CALL FOR PAPERS:

Submissions are invited from both philosophers and psychoanalysts on any topic at the intersection of clinical psychoanalytic practice and analytic philosophy. We are especially interested in papers that explore one or more of the following themes: empathy and clinical practice; value, psychological development, and the analytic process; self-knowledge and rationality; the first-person perspective; identification and the boundaries of the self; memory and meaning; understanding interpersonal interaction inside and outside of the analytic context; psychoanalysis as ethics/the analyst as ethicist.

Papers should be no longer than 40 minutes reading time (5000 words). Submissions should be sent to [email protected] no later than 15 January 2016. Authors will be notified as to acceptance by 15 February 2016.
