The recent unexpectedly rapid progress in computer Baduk (Go; Weiqi) programs (as is evidenced by Alpha-Go) provides us with strong impetus for such recent trends. This workshop is schemed to find a clue to uncover the secrets of human cognition and thinking by promoting dialogues and collaborative researches between distinguished scholars in Baduk studies from Korea, Japan, and China on the one hand, and the logicians, cognitive scientists, and computer scientists from Western countries on the other hand.
