The purpose of this conference is to explore the implications for the humanities of cognitive and neuroscientific findings regarding moral judgment and moral action: in light of these findings, what role might the various humanities disciplines—philosophy, literature, languages, history, and religion studies—play in enhancing moral judgment and moral action, both individual and collective?
