The Arché Philosophical Research Centre for Logic, Language, Metaphysics and Epistemology, is hosting the 9th Arché Graduate Conference in October 2016. We invite graduate students to submit papers for presentation in the main Arché research areas (Logic, Language, Metaphysics, Mind and Epistemology) broadly construed, as well as related areas. We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups in philosophy.

Keynote Speakers: We are pleased to announce that our keynote speakers are Professors Fiona Macpherson (Glasgow) and Jennifer Saul (Sheffield).

Details: The conference will take place on the 15-16th of October at the University of St Andrews. All accepted talks will receive comments from a member of Arché. We aim to provide a substantial travel bursary for all speakers, and offer free accommodation within St Andrews.

Submission requirements: Papers should be submitted via Easychair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acgc9) (limited to 1 per author) and submissions must be no longer than 4,500 words. Submissions must include an abstract of no more than 500 words; must be authored (or co-authored) by current postgraduate students; must indicate the relevant area of research; be suitable for a presentation of around 40 minutes; and must be anonymised, removing any identifying information.
