CFP: Philosophers' Rally 2016

12th Philosophers’ Rally will be held on 4-6 July, 2016 in Bialystok, Poland. The conference is organized by the Centre for Philosophical Research and the Faculty of History and Sociology of the University of Białystok.

Philosophers’ Rally is an international conference gathering over a hundred participants each year. They include students and PhD students of philosophy and other associated disciplines, such as logic, linguistics, cognitive science, psychology, sociology and cultural studies. The idea behind the Rally is to provide an opportunity for young scholars to discuss their ideas with more experienced researchers.

Location:

The 12th Philosophers’ Rally will be held at the Faculty of History and Sociology of the University of Bialystok, 1 Uniwersytecki Square. The conference venue is in the center of Białystok, within walking distance from the railway station (about 15-20 min.). The most convenient way to get there from the station is to hail a cab. Bialystok is a university town in the northeast of Poland, a two-and-a-half hour train ride from Warsaw.

Submissions:

Giving no preference to any particular topic, we expect papers concerning a wide range of issues, which we wish to arrange into thematic sections. Applications with an abstract of the proposed paper (max. 250 words) should be submitted through the form found at the following link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=zf2016

The deadline for abstract submission is May 25, 2016. Accepted speakers will be allocated 30 minutes in total: 20 minutes in which to deliver their paper and 10 minutes for Q&A.
