We are pleased to announce that the seventh annual meeting of the Southwest Seminar in Early Modern Philosophy will be held 16 – 17 February 2013 at Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, CA. Following the model of similar seminars around the U.S. and Canada, the Southwest Seminar was formed to foster interaction among scholars who work on various topics in the history of early modern philosophy (a period ranging, roughly, from Montaigne to Kant).

Papers on any subject in early modern philosophy are welcome for presentation at the Southwest Seminar. Reading times should be approximately 45 minutes.

The deadline for submitting abstracts (of approximately 750 words) is Friday 19 October 2012. Email submissions are highly encouraged and can be sent to Mary Domski at southwestseminar@gmail.com. Abstracts should be prepared for blind review and sent in either .doc or .rtf format. If you do not receive confirmation of receipt of your abstract within a week, please resubmit or contact the organizers.  The program for the Southwest Seminar will be announced in by the end of November.
