Cross- Border Cooperation and Development Policies on the Balkans

We are pleased to invite you to the international conference “Cross- Border Cooperation and Development Policies on the Balkans”, held within the scientific research project „Cross-Border Cooperation and Development Policies in Bulgaria and on the Balkans” , run by the Faculty of Philosophy, St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. Academic institutions from Romania, Serbia, Turkey and other neighboring countries are to be invited to partner the organization of this conference. Experts of all fields of social sciences, philosophy and security studies are invited to participate in the conference and to express their opinions on the future of the Balkans; Balkan countries’ policies in the context of the presentday security challenges; the global crisis; European integration and EU policies; the regional conflicts and the search for new development policies. The papers will be published after a double blind review in a collection which will be seeking Scopus indexing. The Conference will be structured in following thematic panels:

- European Union on a Crossroad

- Perspectives for Cross-Border Cooperation on the Balkans

- New Security Threats and the Future of the EU

- Philosophy and Development of Society

- Alternatives for Development Policies on the Balkans

- Culture and Identity in the Globalization Era

The deadlines:

Submission of topics and abstracts not longer than 300 words in English or Bulgarian: 28.10.2016;

Notification for acceptance after a blind review and publication of the programme – 07.11.2016;

Submission of the final version of papers (not longer than 3000 words, Times New Roman, 14pt, abstract and key words in English): 30.11.2016.
