We are excited to announce the 14th annual Intermountain West Student Philosophy Conference. This year we welcome Sharyn Clough and Jonathan Kaplan of Oregon State University as our keynote co-speakers. Sharyn Clough is the director of the Phronesis Lab at Oregon State University and conducts research on the relationship between epistemology and social values in the context of scientific practice. Jonathan Kaplan conducts research on contemporary issues at the intersections of race and biology, including biomedicine.
Please submit your extended abstract or short paper suitable for a 20-minute presentation (about 3,000 words), prepared for blind review, to the IWSPC committee by December 5, 2016. Submissions from all areas are welcome. Students working on contemporary issues at the intersections of ethics, epistemology, and science are strongly encouraged to submit their work.
