Details

This is a session at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting (Dec. 3-7, San Francisco) on climate models and their evaluation, uncertainties, and confirmation. The session is open to virtually any philosophical discussion on these topics, which will be interpreted very broadly, e.g., including the issues of robustness, model inter comparison, inferences from multiple models, and methodology. Climate scientists Linda Mearns and Jeffrey Kiehl are the co-organizers of the session, which is in its fourth year. Climate scientist Michael Mann has agreed to be an Invited Author for the session. The deadline for submissions of abstracts is midnight, August 8, 2012.  If not a member of the AGU, you may use Elisabeth Lloyd's member number -- please email ealloyd@indiana.edu to get it, or with any questions.
