Abstracts (500 words maximum, including notes) on any topic in early modern (pre-Kantian) philosophy should be sent to Stephen H. Daniel (sdaniel@tamu.edu) no later than September 7. Completed papers should take no more than 35 minutes reading time.
Invited speakers:
- Samuel Rickless (U California, San Diego): "Locke's Theory of Personal Identity"
- Ken Winkler (Yale): "Causal Realism and Hume's Revisions of the Enquiry"
Ken Winkler will also speak about "The Idealism of Emerson" on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 3:45 p.m. at a departmental colloquium. South Central presenters who come a day early to attend the colloquium will have their rooms and meals paid for.
