Details

The conference's topic is paradox and logical revision. Do the semantic and set-theoretic paradoxes provide a good reason for abandoning some of the commonly accepted rules of logic? What does it mean to revise logic? How should logic be revised? For instance, should revisionary approaches to paradox be substructural? Are revisionary approaches to paradox beset by revenge problems?

We invite submissions for 35-40-minute presentations (with 25-20 additional minutes for discussion). Submissions should take the form of either a 1500 word abstract or a full paper of no more than 5000 words, with a 150-200 word abstract. Contact details - authors’ names, postal address, affiliation, phone number and e-mail address - should be given separately. Submissions should be sent by e-mail in an attached file in .pdf, .ps or.rtf format to [email protected]. Submitted papers will be blind refereed.

Deadline for submissions: March 15th, 2012.

Communication of acceptance: April 30th, 2012.

Deadline for registration: May 31th, 2012

Unfortunately we will not be able to cover travel expenses, although we will try to cover the accommodation expenses of authors of accepted papers, depending on the success of our funding applications. There will be a maximum of 4 submissions accepted.

For questions or any other queries, please contact the organisers at [email protected].
