Keynote speaker Jaysankar Lal Shaw, from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, will talkabout distinctive features of Indian Philosophy. Papers in any area of philosophy are welcome as long as the primary author is an undergraduate. Papers should be suitable for 15-20 minute presentations.

Additionally, this year poster presentations will be included in theconference. Undergraduate students from any college are invited tosubmit proposals for a poster board presentation which examines theintersection of philosophy with any other discipline.  A final 200 word abstract of the presentation must be submitted prior to the date of the conference in order to be included within 2013 issue of The Gadfly.Some poster boards may be available so students do not need topurchase their own. Students will be provided space and time todisplay their poster boards during the day of the conference.

Papers and poster presentations connected with Asian philosophy are encouraged, but all papers and poster boards are welcome.

Selected papers and poster presentation abstracts from the conference will appear in The Gadfly, a publication of the philosophy club, available both in print and online (http://www.laguardia.edu/philosophy/gadfly/). Submissions should be sent to: [email protected]  by April 1, 2013.
