DESCRIPTION:The International Conference Knowledge and Colonial Science results from the &nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;collaboration between the&nbsp\;\nCentro de Filosofia das Ci&ecirc\;ncias da Universidade de Lisboa\n&nbsp\;\nand the&nbsp\;\nCentro de Hist&oacute\;ria of the Instituto de Investiga&ccedil\;&atilde\;o Cient&iacute\;fica Tropical (IICT)\n\,\n&nbsp\;and aims to reflect and discuss the nature of science&rsquo\;s role in the colonial context as\n&nbsp\;well as its relevance in a post-colonial perspective. The meeting intends to join\n&nbsp\;researchers\, teachers and specialists from the fields of natural\, social and human\nsciences in order to stimulate the debate on an issue that has gained considerable\n&nbsp\;visibility over the last few decades.
