DESCRIPTION:<p>From the 28th - 30th of September 2022 we will host a DFG funded conference &ldquo\;&Eacute\;milie Du Ch&acirc\;telet in Relation to Leibniz and Wolff &ndash\; Similarities and Differences&rdquo\; at the Center for the History of Women Philosophers and Scientists\, Paderborn University\, Germany. Confirmed keynote speakers are Katherine Brading (Duke University) and Anne-Lise Rey (Paris Nanterre). The welcome speaker is Mercator Fellow Jeffrey McDonough (Harvard University).</p>\n<p>We are inviting abstracts exploring any aspect of Du Ch&acirc\;telet&rsquo\;s work especially in relation to Leibniz and Wolff for presentation at the conference. Graduate students\, early career scholars and women scholars are especially encouraged to submit. Presentations can be held in English or German. Please send your abstract (500 words max) prepared for blind review and a separate title page with your personal details\, including your best contact email address\, to <a href="mailto:contact@historyofwomenphilosophers.org">contact@historyofwomenphilosophers.org</a> by the 31st of July 2022. You can expect to hear back from us by August 15th.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The conference is part of a DFG funded research project dedicated to exploring &Eacute\;milie Du Ch&acirc\;telet&rsquo\;s relation to Leibniz and Wolff. As part of the project\, Jeffrey McDonough and Clara Carus will prepare an edited volume on the project theme. There is a separate call for papers for publication in the volume. Double submissions (abstract to the conference and paper for publication) are possible and encouraged.
