DESCRIPTION:<p>The International Symposia on Classical German Philosophy were initiated by the German/Latin-American Research and Doctoral Network in Philosophy (FILORED)\, a cooperative network of the Fern Universit&auml\;t in Hagen (Germany)\, the Ruhr-Universit&auml\;t Bochum (Germany)\, the Martin-Luther-Universit&auml\;t Halle-Wittenberg (Germany)\, the Pontificia Universidad Cat&oacute\;lica Argentina (Argentina)\, the Universidad Diego Portales (Chile)\, the Pontificia Universidad Cat&oacute\;lica de Valpara&iacute\;so (Chile)\, the Universidade Federal do Cear&aacute\; (Brazil)\, the Pontif&iacute\;cia Universidade Cat&oacute\;lica do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil)\, the Universidade Federal de S&atilde\;o Carlos (Brazil)\, the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Colombia)\, the Universidad Aut&oacute\;noma Metropolitana (Mexico) and the Pontificia Universidad Cat&oacute\;lica del Per&uacute\; (Peru).</p>\n<p>The objective of the Symposium will be to discuss the actuality of the epistemology of the philosophical movement from Kant to Hegel. Sources and historical aspects of the epistemology of Kant and the post-Kantian idealists.</p>\n<p>2. The realism-idealism debate in 18th and 19th Century German philosophy.</p>\n<p>3. Idealist theories of feeling\, perception\, imagination and conceptual thought.</p>\n<p>4. Knowledge\, self-determination and freedom in German idealism.</p>\n<p>5. Practical reason and political order from Kant to Hegel.</p>\n<p>6. Later critiques and appropriations of Kant's and post-Kantian idealists&acute\; epistemologies.</p>\n<p><u>Submission requirements</u></p>\n<p>1. Proposals may be submitted in Spanish\, Portuguese\, German or English.</p>\n<p>2. The author&rsquo\;s name\, paper title\, institutional position and affiliation\, contact information as well as a short CV (200-300 words) should be included in the body of the e-mail.</p>\n<p>3. Abstracts should contain 500-700 words and be prepared for blind review by removing any identifying details. (Presentation time should be no more than 30 minutes\, plus 10 minutes for discussion).</p>\n<p>4. Submission deadline: <strong>21 August\, 2022.</strong> (Notification of acceptance or rejection will be given separately approximately two weeks following receipt of each submission.)</p>\n<p>5.
