The University of Texas at Austin&rsquo\;s Philosophy Department is hosting the annual Austin Graduate Ethics and Normativity Talks (AGENT) on November 11th and 12th (Friday and Saturday).
\n\nThis year\, our keynote speakers will be Mark Timmons (University of Arizona) and Zoë\; Johnson King (Harvard University). \;
\n\nWe invite graduate students to submit philosophy papers related to ethics\, normativity\, and value. This can include any philosophical subfields as they relate to normativity.
\n\nWe are seeking high-quality\, journal-gradepapers for presentation. Papers will undergo a blind grading process. We expect to take no more than 4-5 papers\, or ~10% of the number of submissions.
AGENT will be in-person as circumstances permit. If you submit to AGENT\, you are committing to presenting in-person (if at all possible)\, given that your paper is accepted. Presentations total one hour &ndash\; 30 minutes lecture\, 30 minute Q&\;A. Well-designed Powerpoints are encouraged: paper handouts\, with their ecological cost\, should be considered less-essential. \;
Submission Deadline: Sunday\, September 25th\, 2022.
\n\nAll submissions must be 3000 words or fewer. All documents should be submitted as .doc\; .docx\; or .pdf. Papers must be prepared for blind review. \;
\n\nPlease submit all documents to agentutexas@gmail.com with the subject &lsquo\;[LASTNAME]_AGENT2022 submission&rsquo\;. Use your paper title as the document&rsquo\;s name (e.g.\, InterestingPaper.pdf). One submission per author. \;
