DESCRIPTION:<p>The University of Texas at Austin&rsquo\;s Philosophy Department is hosting the annual Austin Graduate Ethics and Normativity Talks (AGENT) on November 11th and 12th (Friday and Saturday).</p>\n\n<p>This year\, our keynote speakers will be Mark Timmons (University of Arizona) and Zo&euml\; Johnson King (Harvard University).&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>We invite graduate students to submit philosophy papers related to ethics\, normativity\, and value. This can include any philosophical subfields as they relate to normativity.</p>\n\n<p>We are seeking high-quality\, journal-gradepapers for presentation. Papers will undergo a blind grading process. We expect to take no more than 4-5 papers\, or ~10% of the number of submissions.<br><br>AGENT will be in-person as circumstances permit. If you submit to AGENT\, you are committing to presenting in-person (if at all possible)\, given that your paper is accepted. Presentations total one hour &ndash\; 30 minutes lecture\, 30 minute Q&amp\;A. Well-designed Powerpoints are encouraged: paper handouts\, with their ecological cost\, should be considered less-essential.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>Submission Deadline: Sunday\, September 25th\, 2022.</p>\n\n<p>All submissions must be 3000 words or fewer. All documents should be submitted as .doc\; .docx\; or .pdf. Papers must be prepared for blind review.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>Please submit all documents to agentutexas@gmail.com with the subject &lsquo\;[LASTNAME]_AGENT2022 submission&rsquo\;.
