DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call for Papers</strong></p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p><em>Janus Unbound: Journal of Critical Studies</em>&nbsp\;is pleased to announce a call for papers for issue 2.1\, scheduled for Winter 2022 publication. Deadline for submissions is&nbsp\;<strong>15 September 2022</strong>.</p>\n<p><em>Janus Unbound</em>&nbsp\;is a double-blind peer-reviewed open access journal published bi-annually by&nbsp\;<em>Memorial University of Newfoundland</em>\, aspiring to occupy a unique niche among journals of critical studies. Janus Unbound is a trans-disciplinary platform for scholarly and creative writing\, and academic research and exchange\, within the field of World Literature\, in particular\, and Cultural Studies and the Humanities\, in general\; we provide a medium of intercommunication for students\, teachers\, researchers\, critics\, intellectuals\, scholars\, and artists all over the world.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The theme for our third issue is:</p>\n<p><strong>Displacement\, Flight\, and Migration</strong></p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Displacements of peoples and multitudes\, refugees\, the stateless.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Displacement of species\, environments\, thoughts\, and desires.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Lines of flight\, escape\, and liberation.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Movement over settlement\, nomadism\, dispossession.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Diaspora\, exile.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Non-themed submissions are also welcome.</p>\n\n<p>JU invites original research articles\, essays\, review articles\, long essays\, short articles\, critical notes\, commentaries\, short communications\, book reviews\, and poems\, long and short and in-between. JU also welcomes works that address other themes within the fields of World Literature\, Cultural Studies\, and the Humanities. Our creative writing section is devoted to poetry. Multiple submissions are welcome. JU is particularly interested in poems written in English or translated into English. Poems should be original. We accept short films\, videos\, and visual art. We do not consider work that has appeared elsewhere (this includes all websites and personal blogs) or that is being considered for publication elsewhere.
