DESCRIPTION:<p>We invite graduate students and postdocs to submit papers in any area of analytic philosophy\, but preference will be given to papers related to&nbsp\;<strong>normativity and rationality</strong>. Papers can be written in English or in Chinese.</p>\n<p>Keynote speakers:<br>Paul Boghossian (New York University)<br>Shamik Dasgupta (UC Berkeley)</p>\n<p>The deadline for submitting papers is:&nbsp\;<strong>November 11th\, 2022</strong>. Papers should be suitable for about 35-40 minute presentations (ca. 5\,000 words in English) and made ready for blind review. Submissions should also include a cover letter with the following information: (i) author name\, (ii) email\, (iii) institution\, (iv) title of the paper\, (v) word count\, and (vi) an abstract (150 words).</p>\n<p>Submissions should be emailed to:&nbsp\;<strong>bigcap.submission@gmail.com</strong></p>\n<p>Be sure to attach your paper and cover letter as .doc(x) or .pdf files. Notices of acceptance will be sent by&nbsp\;<strong>Early December</strong>.</p>\n<p>----</p>\n<p>There are prizes for best and runner-up student papers. We will recommend excellent student papers to academic journals including&nbsp\;<em>Asian Journal of Philosophy</em>\,&nbsp\;<em>Foreign Philosophy</em>&nbsp\;(<em>Waiguo Zhexue</em>)\,&nbsp\;<em>Journal of Human Cognition</em>&nbsp\;(<em>Renzhi Kexue</em>)\, and&nbsp\;<em>Tsinghua Studies in Western Philosophy</em>\, for consideration of publication.</p>\n<p>For students in China outside Beijing\, we have a limited number of travel/accommodations grants available. Although we will try our best to fund the expenses\, a full coverage cannot be promised. If you are interested in the grant\, please specify this in your email.</p>\n<p>The conference will be held in hybrid mode. Participants who are unable to attend in person will be able to join the conference online via Zoom.</p>\n<p>----</p>
