DESCRIPTION:
We are living in complex times and contexts that affect our perception of many areas of life\, from security\, politics\, economics\, ecology to ecclesiology. The search for solutions in the spiritual and intellectual Franciscan tradition has accompanied European history for almost 800 years. The conference aims to recall the impulses from Franciscan sources and to contextualize them in the problems of today's globalized world. The conference is sponsored by the St. Francis Ways Project. In addition to physical journeys (camino)\, the project team try to find inspiration in the figure of St. Francis of Assisi virtually\, through encounters of people whom Francis inspires to understand the good and beautiful human life. The planned conference is based on the conviction that the physical and virtual ways to St. Francis lead to a meaningful goal.
\n
December 13\, 2022
\n
On-line conference
\n
https://www.saintfrancisways.eu/
\n
The specific online platform and access will be sent to participants.
\n
Papers on the following topics/areas are welcome:
\n
\n
\n
Franciscan quest for peace
\n
\n
\n
Francis and the encounter with suffering
\n
\n
\n
Philosophical inspirations of the Franciscan tradition
\n
\n
\n
The Franciscan tradition and art
\n
\n
\n
Francis as an inspiration for ecclesiology (the field hospital church)
\n
\n
\n
Papers on related topics will also be considered.
\n
Deadline for abstracts:
\n
October\, 31\, 2022
\n
Abstracts for Papers must clearly articulate the significance of the work\, and show evidence of clear results.
