Organized by the Berlin School of Mind and Brain\, Humboldt&rsquo\;s \;KOSMOS Summer University 2013 &ldquo\;Human Sociality and the Brain \;&ndash\; Decision Making in Social Contexts&ldquo\; will focus on human \;sociality research at the interface between neuroscience and \;the humanities.

The Summer University will bring together neuroscientists\, \;psychologists and philosophers presenting the latest \;experimental results and theoretical findings regarding \;decision making in social contexts. Putting \;interdisciplinarity to work\, the lectures will present a \;comprehensive overview of the most recent empirical \;developments\, bring them into context\, and shed light on the \;consequences of such findings.

The KOSMOS Summer University has been organized with a \;special focus on the participants&rsquo\; needs. It will foster \;intensive contact and exchange between participants and \;faculty. Participants will be given ample opportunity to \;present their own work in small groups where they will \;receive first-hand comments and advice from top level \;scientists. Moreover\, hands-on courses on grant-application \;writing will teach participants to put their ideas into \;practice and develop a successful grant application in their \;respective fields.

The KOSMOS program is a key internationalization project and \;part of the institutional strategy of Humboldt-Universitä\;t \;zu Berlin. It combines two of the University&rsquo\;s strengths: \;internationality and interdisciplinarity. In addition to the \;Summer University\, KOSMOS supports fellows and workshops.
