DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>THE 4th&nbsp\;POLEMO SYMPOSIUM</strong></p>\n<p>01-02 June 2023</p>\n<p>Central European University\,&nbsp\;Vienna\, Austria&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The Political\, Moral\, and Legal Philosophy Research Group (POLEMO) at Central European University cordially invites abstract submission for its&nbsp\;annual conference\, the&nbsp\;4th&nbsp\;POLEMO Symposium&nbsp\;on&nbsp\;<em>01-02 June 2023</em>&nbsp\;in Vienna\, Austria. The Symposium provides a professional\, stimulating\, and international environment for Ph.D. students and early career researchers in political theory to discuss their works in progress\, establish informal networks\, and initiate future collaborative research. &nbsp\; Our aim is to bring together a diverse group of scholars for a lively and productive exchange. We thus encourage applications from groups&nbsp\;whose backgrounds are under-represented in political theory.<br>We are happy to announce that our keynote speakers for this year will be:</p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>&nbsp\;Jos&eacute\; L. Mart&iacute\; (Pompeu Fabra University)&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>Eszter Koll&aacute\;r (KU Leuven)</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>The conference is open to all topics in contemporary analytic political\, legal and moral philosophy. A special focus this year lies on contributions to legitimacy of global institutions and theories of global justice.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>To apply\, please send an extended abstract of no more than&nbsp\;<strong>1500 words&nbsp\;</strong>to&nbsp\;polemo@ceu.edu&nbsp\;by&nbsp\;<strong>28&nbsp\;February 2023</strong>. Abstracts should be in PDF format and prepared for blind review. In the body of your email please include your name\, institutional affiliation\, and contact information.&nbsp\;Submitted abstract should be suitable for a 25-minute presentation\, followed by a 20-minute discussion.</p>\n<p>Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by<strong>&nbsp\;31 March 2023.</strong> Conference attendance is free of charge&nbsp\;and open to anyone upon registration.&nbsp\;Please note that POLEMO is unable to provide financial assistance for applicants.
