DESCRIPTION:<p>The Hamilton College Summer Program in Philosophy (HCSPiP) is designed for three instructors\, three graduate student tutors\, and twenty excellent undergraduate students looking for a creative\, exciting\, collegial\, and engaging two-week experience of innovative philosophy teaching. Three concurrent courses\, chosen for their innovative pedagogies\, will be offered\, June 25 through July 8\, 2023:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Language\, Games and Logic\, taught by Prof. James Garrison (Baldwin Wallace University)</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>The Value of Beauty\, taught by Prof. Alexandra Grundler (Auburn University)</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>The State of Nature (Ultimate Survival Mode) taught by Prof. Rebeccah Leiby (University of Baltimore)</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The HCSPiP will be an exciting and intense philosophical experience. Students attend all three classes every day\, Monday through Friday.&nbsp\; They are are expected to prepare for those classes\, both before the summer school and during the two weeks they are on campus. To participate actively and take advantage of the opportunity\, students must have exceptional intrinsic motivation for philosophical work. No college credit is awarded.
