DESCRIPTION:<p>The conference &ldquo\;Lotze to Husserl&rdquo\; will explore the interdisciplinary origins of the phenomenological movement through a careful examination of the figures and developments that dominated the intellectual milieu in G&ouml\;ttingen during the formative years of phenomenology. We consider the interdisciplinary background to Husserl's thought\, focusing on the radical innovations in psychology and mathematics that informed his thinking and served as catalysts to his revolutionary transcendental phenomenology.
