DESCRIPTION:<p>There has recently been a growing interest in truthmaker semantics as an alternative to the standard possible-worlds approach in philosophical and formal semantics. We\, the organizers\, feel that research on the topic has reached a stage where it is opportune to offer a regular venue to share recent advances in truthmaker semantics and related approaches\, as well as to strengthen the intellectual ties within the community.</p>\n<p>This conference\, which we hope is the first in a series of many\, will be held on 5&ndash\;7 June 2023 at NYU&rsquo\;s Villa La Pietra in Florence\, Italy (https://lapietra.nyu.edu/). It is jointly organized by Kit Fine (NYU)\, Mark Jago (University of Nottingham)\, and Johannes Korbmacher (Utrecht University).&nbsp\; &nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Call for papers</strong></p>\n<p>Several slots will be made available for contributed papers. We invite interested researchers to submit a blinded abstract of max. 1000 words by January 31\, 2023 to Ethan Russo at: er2896@nyu.edu</p>\n<p>Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by early March 2023.</p>\n<p>Two of the available slots are earmarked for&nbsp\;<em>Early Career Researchers</em>&nbsp\;(including PhD students and those max. 3 years after PhD).</p>\n<p>There are limited travel funds available for speakers who cannot rely on funding from other sources.
