DESCRIPTION:
Second Call for Papers - Oxford Philosophy Graduate Conference
\n
We invite submissions by graduate students to the 17th Annual Oxford Philosophy Graduate Conference to be held on 15th-17th November 2013.
\n
Papers should be about 4000 words long\, and can be on any topic in academic philosophy. Our aim is to represent a broad range of philosophical interests and traditions in our final selection. We particularly encourage submissions in Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Logic.
\n
Keynote Speakers:
\n
Sarah Broadie (University of St. Andrews)
\n
Lucy O'Brien (UCL)
\n
Jesse Prinz (CUNY)
\n
Each student presentation will be followed by a response from a member of the Oxford Philosophy Faculty. This presents a wonderful opportunity for students to receive feedback on their work from an expert in the field\, and ensures many interesting discussions during the conference and beyond.
\n
The submission deadline is the 20th of August 2013.
\n
Please send the following to gradconf@philosophy.ox.ac.uk in .doc(x)\, .rtf\, or .pdf format:
\n
(1.) A cover letter which should contain (a) the author&rsquo\;s name\, (b) institutional affiliation\, (c) contact information\, (d) the title of the paper\, (e) a word count\, and (f) the area(s) of philosophy the paper deals with\;
\n
(2.) The paper itself (around 4000 words)\, including the title and a short abstract (no more than 200 words)\, with no information identifying the author or the author&rsquo\;s institutional affiliation.
\n
For further enquiries\, please email gradconf@philosophy.ox.ac.uk.
\n
Website: http://users.ox.ac.uk/~gradconf/
