DESCRIPTION:<p>CALL FOR PAPERS (FOURTH ISSUE)</p>\n<p><em>Janus Unbound: Journal of Critical Studies</em> is pleased to announce a call for papers for 2.2\, scheduled for <strong>Spring/Summer 2023</strong> <strong>publication</strong>. The deadline for submission is <strong>15 March 2023</strong></p>\n<p>We are a double-blind peer-reviewed open access journal published bi-annually by <em>Memorial University of Newfoundland</em>\, occupying a unique niche among journals of critical studies. A trans-disciplinary platform for scholarly and creative writing\, and academic research and exchange\, within the field of World Literature\, in particular\, and Cultural Studies and the Humanities. In general\, we provide a medium of intercommunication for students\, teachers\, research-ers\, critics\, intellectuals\, scholars\, and artists all over the world.</p>\n<p>The theme for our fourth issue is:</p>\n<p><strong>The Marginalization of the Global South</strong></p>\n<p>Natural resources are depleting and global economic demand is increasing. As global capitalism consumes the resources of the Global South to feed the capitalist system\, the impact on people of these regions may be devastating. The residents of these regions face poverty\, starvation\, migration\, violence\, war\, and erasure.</p>\n<p>Issues may include:<strong></strong></p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; -&nbsp\;Diaspora\, Exile\, Nomadism</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;-Refugees</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;-Living Dead Labour</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;-Energy and Information Extraction Fields</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;-Queer and Trans Rights in Marginalized Countries</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;-Biopolitical Laboratories</p>\n<p><strong>Non-themed submissions are always welcome.</strong></p>\n<p><strong></strong>JU invites original research articles\, essays\, review articles\, critical notes\, commentaries\, book reviews\, and poems\, long and short and in-between. Multiple submissions are welcome. Poems should be original. We accept short films and videos. We do not consider work that has appeared elsewhere (this includes all websites and personal blogs) or that is being considered for publication elsewhere. Interested parties should send their works to <a href="mailto:info@janusunbound.com">info@janusunbound.com</a>.</p>\n<p>We value <em>excellence</em> and <em>originality</em>. It is particularly attracted to works that challenge prevailing views and established ideas and encourages thought-provoking research topics and debate. Based on &ldquo\;If not now\, when?&rdquo\; as a motto\, we foster transdisciplinarity\, participate in the ongoing reconfiguration of knowledge\, and challenge received conceptual frames and perspectives for the sake of <em>(positive) change</em>.</p>\n<p>Why publish with us?
