DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call for Papers</strong>&nbsp\;<strong>for</strong>&nbsp\;<strong>The University of Oxford's 27th Annual Graduate Philosophy Conference</strong></p>\n<p>University of Oxford\, 11th-12th November 2023</p>\n<p>We invite submissions from all graduate students working in philosophy for the 27th Annual Oxford Philosophy Graduate Conference\, to be held on the&nbsp\;<strong>11th-12th November 2023 at the University of Oxford</strong>.</p>\n<p>This highly anticipated event enjoys a reputation for being one of the most prestigious philosophy conferences at graduate level in the world.</p>\n<p>Papers can be on any topic in philosophy. We aim to represent a broad range of philosophical debates and traditions in our final selection\, across both theoretical and practical philosophy.</p>\n<p>Each student presentation will be followed by a response\, typically from a member of the Oxford Philosophy Faculty.</p>\n<p>We are also delighted to be able to announce our three keynote speakers at this year&rsquo\;s conference: &nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Julia Driver</strong>&nbsp\;(Austin/ St. Andrews)</p>\n<p><strong>C&eacute\;cile Fabre</strong>&nbsp\;(Oxford) and&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Crispin Wright</strong>&nbsp\;(NYU/ Stirling)</p>\n<p>Presenting at the conference offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your work to an enthusiastic and welcoming audience.</p>\n<p>We particularly encourage submissions by philosophers from groups underrepresented in the discipline.</p>\n<p><u>Eligibility</u>: All current graduate students in philosophy are eligible to apply\, except those studying at Oxford at the time of the conference.</p>\n<p><u>Submission details</u>:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The submission deadline is&nbsp\;<strong>Sunday 28th May 2023\, 11pm GMT</strong>.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>All papers should be submitted to&nbsp\;gradconf@philosophy.ox.ac.uk&nbsp\;with the subject: 'Submission for Gradconf 2023'.</p>\n<p>You are asked to submit three attachments:</p>\n<p>(1) a cover letter with your name\, your institutional affiliation\, the title of your paper\, and its wordcount (including footnotes\, excluding references)\;</p>\n<p>(2) an abstract of no more than 500 words\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>(3) the main paper which should be of&nbsp\;<strong>no more than 4\,000 words</strong>&nbsp\;(including footnotes\, excluding references) and suitable for a 30-40 min presentation\, prepared for blind-review\, be in pdf format\, and contain no information identifying the author or their institutional affiliation.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>If you do identify as part of a group that is underrepresented in philosophy\, please indicate so in your email (this is not mandatory).</p>\n<p>All submissions will undergo a blind-review process.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>For more details see:&nbsp\;https://www.philosophy.ox.ac.uk/oxford-philosophy-graduate-conference</p>\n<p>If you have any questions feel free to email&nbsp\;gradconf@philosophy.ox.ac.uk</p>\n<p>We look forward to receiving your submission.</p>\n<p>Mattia Cecchinato\, Daniel Rowe (co-chairs)</p>\n<p>James Glover\, Milan Hartwig\, Jonathan Krude\, Elisabetta Sassarini\, Patrick Williamson (organising committee)</p>
