DESCRIPTION:
The workshop New Approaches to Legal Ontology will be held in person on the 26th and 27th April\, 2023 at UCC\, Cork. By asking the participants to consider fundamental questions\, such as what kind of entities are legal rules\, legal organisations\, and legal systems?&nbsp\;and how can we account for their existence?\, the workshop will provide the best forum for the application of general theories of artifacts\, group agency\, institutional reality\, and social (meta)metaphysics to prominent debates within analytic jurisprudence.
\n
Confirmed speakers:
&Aring\;sa Burman (Philosophy\, Stockholm University)
Kenneth Ehrenberg (Law\, University of Surrey)
Ann Whittle (Philosophy\, University of Manchester)
Corrado Roversi (Law\, University of Bologna)
Teresa Marques (Philosophy\, University of Barcelona)
Adam Dyrda (Law\, Jagiellonian University)
Antonia Waltermann (Law\, Maastricht University)
Michael Schmitz (Philosophy\, University of Vienna)
Zuzanna Krzykalska (Law\, Jagiellonian University)
Miguel Garcia (Philosophy\, University College Cork).
\n
A few spaces are still available - PhDs and ECRs working at the intersection of legal philosophy and social ontology are strongly encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration.

\n
Submission guidelines: please send your abstract (300-500 words) suitable for a 30-40 mins presentation to miguel.garci@outlook.com by February 28 (18.00hrs GMT).
