DESCRIPTION:<p>Celebrating its 20th anniversary\, the <atarget="_blank">Centre for Philosophy of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (CFCUL)</a> organizes the <strong>4th Lisbon International Conference on Philosophy of Science (LICPOS 2023)</strong>. The Conference will take place in Lisbon\, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Ci&ecirc\;ncias ULisboa)\, on <strong>July 12-15\, 2023</strong>.</p>\n<p>The Lisbon International Conferences on Philosophy of Science are periodic conferences directed to a wide audience with interests in the philosophy of science broadly conceived. Reflecting the main lines of research of <atarget="_blank">CFCUL</a> it will explore mostly subjects related to:</p>\n<p>Epistemology and Methodology\;<br> General Philosophy of Science\;<br> Philosophy of Logic and Mathematics\;<br> Philosophy of Physics\;<br> Philosophy of the Life Sciences\;<br> Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence and Computation\;<br> Philosophy of Cognitive Sciences\;<br> Philosophy of Technology\;<br> Philosophy of the Human Sciences\, Ethics\, and Politics\;<br> Science and Art.</p>\n<p>However\, we invite scholars working on any topic of interest in philosophy of science to attend the conference.</p>\n<p>A selection of papers will be published in a special issue of <atarget="_blank">Global Philosophy\, </a>former Axiomathes (Springer).</p>\n<p>The conference will be <strong>exclusively in person</strong>.</p>\n<p>As a satellite event\, on <strong>July 15</strong>\, LICPOS 2023 will host the <strong>2nd Meeting of the <atarget="_blank">Iberian Network of Philosophy of Science (ReIFiCi)</a></strong>.</p>\n<p>This conference is funded by the Funda&ccedil\;&atilde\;o para a Ci&ecirc\;ncia e a Tecnologia (FCT) through the base funding UIDB/00678/2020\, and has the support of the Faculdade de Ci&ecirc\;ncias da Universidade de Lisboa (Ci&ecirc\;ncias ULisboa).</p>
